Epson Tour Race for the Card Standings Shift Before the Great Lakes Championship

As the Epson Tour makes its way to the ninth tournament of the season, the season-long Race for the Card rankings is beginning to see some movement that could change an athlete’s life come October. Every tournament is critical as the Tour approaches the halfway point of the season. As evident after the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship, the points that come from a victory begin to mean just a little bit more, even though the amount earned remains the same each week. Here are the most current Race for the Card standings:

  • 1. Gina Kim – 1,176.900 points
  • 2. Sophia Schubert – 985.333 points
  • 3. Laetitia Beck – 885.417 points
  • 4. Yana Wilson – 874.363 points
  • 5. Minji Kang – 853.143 points
  • 6. Carla Tejedo Mulet – 748.712 points
  • 7. Briana Chacon – 743.333 points
  • 8. Riley Smyth – 689.600 points
  • 9. Hailee Cooper – 593.712 points
  • 10. Michelle Zhang – 545.633 points
  • 11. Valery Plata – 538.817 points
  • 12. Samantha Wagner – 538.125 points
  • 13. Sophia Popov – 500 points
  • 14. Erika Hara – 458.295 points
  • 15. Melanie Green – 454.254

North Carolina native Gina Kim maintained her No. 1 spot through the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship, thanks to her 8th consecutive cut this season and a T15 finish. She is also the only athlete to break the 1000-point threshold, coming into the Great Lakes Championship at the Highlands presented by Johnnie Walker with a whopping 1,176.900 points.

Epson Tour veteran Sophia Schubert is Kim’s closest threat, just 192 points away from taking the top spot. A second-place result at the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship helped the Tennessee native jump from sixth to second in the season-long rankings, a push she needed to put her closer to regaining her LPGA Tour card in 2026. Another top finish at the Great Lakes Championship could see Schubert join Kim in the 1000-point club, currently only 15 points away.

The week’s most significant move belonged to the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship winner, Samantha Wagner, who jumped 85 spots in the standings thanks to the victory. She entered the Midwest swing at No. 97 but now finds herself inside the coveted top 15 at No. 12.

With 12 tournaments left this season, including the Great Lakes Championship at the Highlands presented by Johnnie Walker, the Race for the Card will begin getting tighter. But if last week proved anything, there is still a lot of golf left to be played and plenty of points up for grabs for someone to sneak into the top 15 and hold their spot, ultimately ending up with an LPGA Tour card at the end of the season.
