Meet the Sponsor Exemptions: 2025 Great Lakes Championship

As the Epson Tour season continues, opportunities continue to flow, with each week holding weight on an athlete’s career. A sponsor exemption could be the gateway to success on the official qualifying tour of the LPGA or give an up-and-coming amateur experience on the professional stage and goals to work toward. Both are the case this week in Harbor Springs, Mich.

Meet the 2025 Great Lakes Championship at the Highlands presented by Johnnie Walker sponsor exemptions:

Megan Schofill, 23 – Monticello, Fla.

  • 2025 Epson Tour rookie
  • Has made four cuts in five starts so far in 2024, with one top-10 result
  • Finished second at the IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort and Spa
  • No. 17 in the season-long Race for the Card rankings
  • Played collegiate golf at Auburn University
  • 2023 U.S. Women’s Amateur Champion
  • 5-time Augusta National Women’s Amateur participant (2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020)

 

Brooke Biermann (a), 22 – Wildwood, Mo.

  • One of two amateurs in the field
  • Completed her senior year at Michigan State University in 2025
  • One of three MSU Spartans in the field
  • Competed in the 2025 U.S. Women’s Open (MC)
  • This is her Epson Tour debut
  • Won the 2024 Missouri Golf Women’s Amateur Championship to qualify for the U.S. Women’s Amateur
  • 4-time Missouri State High School District Champion
  • 3-time St. Louis Post-Dispatch Metropolitan Player of the Year
